Specifications

PBO Pad withstanding up to 600deg C (1112 Fahrenheit) is mainly used at the Extrusion Press Exit as the substitute for graphite slats, avoiding the abrasion and dark marks caused by graphite. It is especially suitable for those demanding extruded profiles and can also be used on the Walking Beam of the first-stage cooling table for heavier extruders.

Considering that the temperature of press exit is very high and product density must be strong enough. PBO Pad is incoporated with one-layer Kevlar Scrim Base Fabric to enable preferable effect of needle punch, better punching every layer together and enhancing the density of finished products.

Usually, pure PBO Pad made by 100% PBO fiber is more applicable for aluminium extrusion press with two-sided exit.
