Induced Draft coolers utilize fans located on the topside of the tube bundle. These fans draw cooling air up through the tube bundle to provide a more efficient distribution of airflow.
The advantages of this induced design include greater protection to the tube bundle as a result of the plenum positioning above the bundle, reduced potential for recirculation of hot air and reduced noise levels at ground level.
