Forced Draft coolers locate the fans beneath the tube bundle and force air up through the tubes to dissipate heat.

Because the fans are located under the tube bundle, this design allows easy access to mechanical components and direct access to the tube bundle itself. The design also allows simplified future plant expansions with direct access to the bundle. Structural disassembly is not required. Forced draft ACHE is the most common style ACHE because its simple structure and easy installation.
