Fiber optical connector is the connector to optical module. There are many type of those connectors and cannot be replaced by each other.

FC fiber optical connector: With outer metallic ring to strength, fitting method is thread lock.

SC fiber optical connector: Rectangular outlook, fitting method is insertion lock.

ST fiber optical connector: Round outlook, fitting method is thread lock.

LC fiber optical connector: Connecting to SFP module.
