SMP330 EDGE QAM is Wellav’s new generation modulator. It can support up to 24 RF QAM channels, organized as three independent blocks of 8 channels. Based on customer requirements, SMP330 can be configured to support 12 DVB-T channels as well. The equipment supports TV program inputs from ASI and IP streams, remultiplexed and output scrambled TS streams in 24 channels QAM or in 12 channel OFDM. Given its compact design and cost-effective build-up, the equipment is probably the best value for small and medium pay-tv service providers to build their digital headend and to re-distribute its content via HFC network or to offer VOD services.
1) Support TV programs re-multiplexing and output in 24-channel QAM or 12-channel OFDM
2) Output 24 RF-QAM channels or 12 DVB-T channels for both SD and HD programs
3) Support programs input from both ASI (four different sources) and GBE IP (up to 256 SPTS and 64 MPTS)
4) Support stream processing including PID remapping and EPG data insertion
5) Support DVB-simulcrypt scrambling for up to 400 H.264 SD programs and output in QAM or OFDM
6) Configuration and monitoring programs via NMS, Web GUI or SNMP
