1. Definition

Fiber Reinforce Plastic (FRP), also known as GRP, Glass Reinforced Plastic, which generally refers to use the glass fiber reinforced unsaturated polyester, epoxy and phenolic resin as matrix, and use the glass fiber or fiberglass products as reinforcing material,which called glass fiber reinforced plastics or fiberglass.

2. Advantage

1) Light-weight but high strength: Its density is between 1.5 and 2.0.

2) Good corrosion resistance: FRP is a good corrosion resistant materials, has a good resistance ability against atmosphere, water, general concentration acid, alkali, salt and various oils, and solvent. Fiberglass material has been applied to all aspects of chemical preservative, being replaced carbon steel, stainless steel, wood and non-ferrous metals.
