As one of the main parts for the multi-rope hoisting plant, currently the friction gaskets applied to the native multi-rope hoisting plant are mainly PVC gasket and CPUR gasket. The friction factor of PVC is quite low (0.20), abrasion performance is poor, although the abrasion performance of CPUR gasket is improved, the friction factor is still between 0.2—0.23, and because of the poor processing characteristics & poor workmanship makes the quality unstable, and the phenomenon of melt-out always occur in use, CPUR gasket can only be used when the friction factor range is below 0.22.

Currently the friction gaskets with friction factor above 0.25 for multi-rope hoisting plant used in China are all imported, but the price is very high and import takes long time. While the High-performance friction gaskets supply such a native gap.
