Description:
 Z408 is graphitic type coating with Nickel/Cu core electrode and it is machinable one. The craft and cutting performance are close to Z308 . Used for Welding of gray cast iron under room temperature or low temperature preheating (about 300 degrees).AC and DC are both ok, stable arc, easy to operate

APPLICATIONS:
Used for repair welding grey cast iron with lower hardness.

Matters need attention:
 
1. When welding, narrow channel of transport bar is appropriate,  each welding line should not be more than 50 mm in length, hammering the weld  with the hammer immediately after welding, in order to eliminate the welding zone stress, to prevent cracks
2. Welding electrodes must be baked about 1 hour under around 150 degrees
