Pneumatic fender with chain & tire net

 

This type of fenders is equipped with the chain and tire net. This is a lattice of used tires connected by a network of horizontal and vertical chains, which adds further protection to the fender body. The chains are galvanized for greater corrosion resistance and covered by rubber sleeves to prevent damage to the outer rubber.

 

Flat sling type pneumatic fender

 

Flat sling or hook type fenders are effectively a type fender without chain and tire net and the ring shackles. A lifting eye is fitted to each end and the fender is slung by chain or wire rope. This type of fenders usually is mounted on small size ship or yacht.

Application:

The air rubber fender is used as a protective medium, now it used extensively by large tankers, LPG vessels, ocean platforms, large docks and etc.
