EDI ultrapure water equipment, continuous electro-deionization, which is short for EDI, which is the combination of ion exchange membrane and ion electro-migration technology, which is the high-tech and green technology.
EDI ultrapure water treatment equipment has many advantages, such as continuous effluent, no need of acid-base regeneration, unattended equipment, which has replaced mixed bed to serve as fine treatment equipment to produce pure water.

Working principle of EDI ultrapure water treatment equipment:
Electrodeionization system is under the action of direct current electric-field, takes use of selective permeability of exchange membrane to purify the water. Between the double electrodes of electrodialyzer, there are anion membrane, cation membrane and clapboard (JIA, YI), which rank alternatively and form to the strong and fresh chamber (cation can permeate cation membrane, anion can permeate the anion membrane). The cation in the fresh chamber will migrate to negative electrode through permeating cation membrane, and then intercepted by anion membrane in the strong chamber; the anion in the water will migrate to the positive electrode through permeating the anion membrane, and then intercepted by cation membrane in the strong chamber, thus the ions in water permeating fresh chamber will be less and less, become the fresh water, the water in the strong chamber, because the continuous anion and cation enter into the strong chamber, the dielectric medium ions concentration will be risen increasingly, and then become the strong water, thus we can achieve the purposes of desalinization, purification, concentration.
Advantages of EDI ultrapure water treatment equipment:
1. No need of acid-base regeneration: the resin in mixed bed needs the chemicals to have the acid-base regeneration, EDI can eliminate the treatment and heavy work of these harmful substances to protect the environment.
2. Continuous and simple operation: many times of regeneration and water quality changes in the mixed bed which make the operation process more complex, the output process of EDI is stable and continuous, and the effluent quality is constant, without complex operations, the operation is simplified greatly.
3. The requirements of installation are reduced: if the water treatment quantity is same, compared with mixed bed, EDI system needs the smaller area, which is the modular structure, which is constructed according to the height of field and the flexible frame. Modular design will make the manufacturing easier.
