CTO-grade extruded carbon block. A workhorse filter. CTO is industry jargon for “chlorine/taste/odor” and means it’s a filter for which the manufacture isn’t claiming anything but aesthetic improvement( although the cartridge might well do much more).

Simultaneously remove chlorine taste, odor and organic chemicals that contribute to taste and odor while providing the particular filtration and dirt-holding capacity of an efficient 5.0um nominal sediment filter. ACB filters are optimized for applications where they perform the role of both a sediment and activated carbon block.

 

Used in residential and commercial water purification systems, food service,pre-and post RO systems and organic solvents. Filter should be changed every six months or sooner if bad taste or odor return. The filter should not be used where the water is micro biologically unsafe or with water of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or after the filter.

 

The O ring in housing should be replaced and lubricated with a very light coating of white petroleum jelly to prevent leakage.
