The HPFI Panel Type Fault Indicator is a kind of short-circuit & earth fault indicator used in ring main unit(RMU),package transformer, metalclad withdraw switchgear, cable sector, ect., with the optical fiber communicator technology and LED or LCD display technology.

When the line fault occurs, the operator can identify the fault section immediately and then figure out the fault point through the alarm indication of the indicator. Meanwhile, the alarm information can be sent to the monitoring center in real time and displayed the fault area as well as the fault location. 

     The indicator is a good way to solve the problem for finding the fault. It plays an important role to save the time for finding, improve work efficiency and reducing the outage time. What’s more, it benefits for the reliability of the power distribution and the economic.

Main Function

Short circuit alarm indication: Short circuit fault transducer is used to detect the line current. When the short circuit fault occurs and the fault current is up to or over the setting value of the alarm current, the short circuit fault transducer alarm immediately. Then the signal is sent to the host through optical fiber. After receiving the signal, the host output corresponding alarm indication signal.

 

    Earth alarm indication: Earth fault transducer is used to detect the Zero sequence current. When the short circuit fault occurs and the fault current is up to or over the setting value of the alarm current, the earth fault transducer alarm immediately. Then the signal is sent to the host through optical fiber. After receiving the signal, the host output corresponding alarm indication signal. 

 

    Automatic reset: When the indicator sends the alarm signal, the indicator will reset automatically within the setting time, if there is no manual reset. 

 

 Manual reset: When the indicator alarms, the operator can reset it to disarm the alarm through the “Reset/Test” button on the panel of the host of the indicator.

 

 Test: The indicator has performance self-inspection function. Press the “Reset/Test” button on the panel of the host and stay 1.5 seconds for the inspection.

 

   Intelligence: After displaying the alarm signal, the indicator can achieve signal remote transmission and receive the remote resetting signal for remote operating.
