Check valves are used in the installation of hydraulic systems to let liquids flow in one direction but prevent them from flowing in the opposite direction. In many applications these valves - made of steel or cast iron - which are heavy as well as costly and need constant maintenance, are replaced by the so-called Duck Bill Check Valves.

Duck Bill Check Valves are manufactured entirely in rubber, using compounds which are highly resistant to different environments.

They weigh 10% or less than regular valves, thus making them more economical, easy to transport, easy to mount and maintenance free.Due to their convenient design, they are not likely to get stuck should strange elements be swept by the fuids. They are manufactures from 2 inches up 120inches diameter. They do not need external energy to operate. They are easily mounted at the end line of sewers or storm sewers.

Rubber duckbill check valves are an exceptionally reliable and cost effective alternative to flap-gate valves and other conventional check valves. Their simple one-piece design and reinforced rubber construction eliminate the mechanical and metal components that rust and seize in conventional flap-gates and check valves.

The duckbill valves we supply are passive-reactive devices requiring no external mechanisms or power source to operate. The flexible rubber sleeve is normally closed but will react and open with as little as 1 inch of head pressure and always provide maximum flow with minimal pressure drop across the valve. This ease of operation reduces standing water in sewer pipes where mosquitoes and other pests can thrive.

Their all-flexible construction will pass large objects without blockage yet offers exceptional back flow prevention and can even seal around trapped solids with as little as 1 psi of back pressure.

Rubber Duckbill Check Valves are manufactured with top quality materials including an outer layer specially formulated to repel growth of marine organisms.

Standard construction is a natural gum rubber inner tube with a multi-resistant Neoprene outer cover. Neoprene is also commonly used for the inner tube in sewage an treated effluent applications.
