For dual-face ram, the upper and lower faces are symmetrical. For drilling tools in different sizes, only the semi-annular rubber sealing ring and the ram pressing block need to be replaced, and other parts are for common use. Single-face ram is not supposed to be used upside-down. Shearing ram will cut the drilling tool and seal up the wellhead. Variable bore ram is used to meet the demands of drilling tools in different sizes.

Ram Sealing Description:
Effective sealing of a wellhead depends on sealing in 4 different positions, i.e., sealing between upper side of ram and housing, sealing between front end of ram and the pipeline, sealing between side gate and housing, and sealing between piston rod and the side gate.

Ram Locking Operations
By turning a hand wheel, the rams can be locked manually. But it can not be unlocked by the manual locking device. To unlock, be sure to re-set the manual device, and then unlock the ram with hydraulic power.
