PTFE membrane has very good chemical stability and inertia, so they can be applied to corrosive organic solvent, strong acid and base, metal. The hydrophobic property of membranes makes it possible that they can be used to kill germ in air and gas . The kind of membrane with netty support structure of non-woven layer has strong strength and can bear high temperature up to 120℃.Having chemical stability and inert ,PTFE can be used in corrosive organic solvent such as: water solution and gas. It could be resistant to the majority of acid and alkali solution.A major application of PTFE membrane(in general,refer to 0.5 u m aperture) is to purify mordants, solution and highly corrosive solution. Because of the hydrophobic property, PTFE membrane can purify air and gas by stopping gaseous water. PTFE(0.2 u m) membrane is recommended in order to kill germ in container.
