Specifications

Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic (CFRP) is a special fiber mainly composed of carbon, of which the carbon content varies with different types, generally more than 90%. The carbon fiber has the characteristics of the carbon material in general, such as high temperature resistance, abrasion resistance, electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity and corrosion resistance, etc., however, unlike usual carbonaceous material, it has a significant anisotropy, soft, and can be processed into various kinds of fabrics with high strength along the fiber axis direction. With a small proportion of carbon fiber, the material has a high specific strength. Due to the higher carbon content, carbon fiber is made by heat-stable oxidation treatment, carbonization treatment and graphitization treatment of the artificial chemical fiber without melt in the heat treatment process. The main purpose of the carbon fiber is to be made into a structural material by combining with base materials such as resin, metal, and ceramics. Carbon fiber reinforced epoxy composite has the highest indicators in its specific strength and specific modulus among the existing structural materials. In the areas where there are strict requirements in strength, stiffness, weight, fatigue characteristics, high temperature resistance, and high chemical stability, the carbon fiber composite materials have considerable advantages.
