Brief introduction and Application of Spiral Classifier
 
There are mainly four types of classifier: high weir single spiral classifier, high weir double
spiral classifier, submerged single spiral classifier and submerged double spiral classifier. The equipment is mainly composed of driving device, spiral body, collection box, lifting unit, bottom support (engine bearing) and ore discharge valve.

Applicable scope of spiral classifier:

1. Form a closed circulation with the ball grinder for ore-sand separation in the ore separation plant;
2. Classify ore sand and fine sludge in gravity ore separation plant;
3. Classify the ore pulp according to granularity during the metal ore separation process;
4. Remove sludge/water at the ore separation process.

Working Principles

efficient classifier (powder concentrator) is a novel efficient classifier which uses the air eddy in the powder concentrator on the horizontal direction to classify the materials. The formation of flow field and the classifier principle are greatly different with centrifugal classifier and cyclone classifier. Now it is widely applied to classify the soft materials roughly because of its better performance and notable production-increasing and energy-saving effect compared with the conventional powder concentrator, and efficient classifier is regarded as the typical representative of the third generation of efficient classifying equipment.

Equipment Characteristics

1. Classifying airflow can enter from two sides horizontally; and because of the action of guide blade and horizontal separating plate, the airflow only rotate crosswise, that is recycles in horizontal plane whether in the ring classification area or the turbine classification area.

2. Materials can be scattered preferably under the action of scattering plate and buffering plate, and fall into the ring classification area to meet the steady classification airflow, so that the gas-solid mixture can be uniform, and gas-solid ratio is higher.

3. Materials fall vertically through the whole classification area, and stay for a long time during the process, so as to be classified for many times.

4. Both the ring classification area and turbine classification area are long and narrow ring area with simple shape, and the movement velocity of airflow changes very little at any position of the classification area, so that the airflow is steady and has little interference, and particles with the same particle size (mass) has steady force and movement trail; and the classification of particles is finished according to the specific force equilibrium relation, and the classification condition is specific and simple, so that the classification efficiency and accuracy are high.
