Application:
Widely used in manufacturing hot-extrusion die, mandrel, die hammer,forging die,forging press die, precision forging machine insert, die-casting mould for alloy steel.
Heat Treatment:
Annealing: 750 - 800 °C
Hardness after annealing: Max. 205 HB
Stress relieving: 600 - 650 °C
Hot forming: 900 - 1100 °C
Hardening: 1020 - 1080 °C
Quenching media: Oil, Salt bath ( 500 - 550 °C ), Air
Hardness after quenching: 52 - 56 HRC Oil, Salt bath; 50 - 54 HRC Air
Hardness after tempering:
