Specifications

Galvanized Expanded Metals are available in choice of finishes.
Galvanizing is a popular and common form of finishing. The galvanized finish should cover the entire surface of the material and any exposed or unfinished surface should be considered unacceptable. The coating thickness for most application should be in accordance with ASTM-123 (latest revision) standard. The sheet is dipped in molten zinc and allowed to dry. Due to the temperature that is required to melt the zinc, warping and distortion may occur, especially in material lighter than 18 gauge. In addition, pattern with opening smaller than 1/2" is not recommended for galvanizing because the openings may become filled.

Galvanized steel expanded metal is made of high quality low carbon galvanized steel sheet after being expanded on the automatic expanded machines.
