Sandblaster is use the high-pressure air as a power producer to drive the abrasive particles striking an object with big impulse force in a certain range. The role of sand blasting nozzle is to let the abrasive particles uniform and efficient eject on the object.

Sand blasting nozzle can be divided into: straight bore sand blasting nozzles, venturi sand blasting nozzles, dual venturi sand blasting nozzles, and angled nozzles.

Straight bore sand blasting nozzle: in its interior only have contraction section and straight section, the structure is simple and easy to make. Such nozzle can not overcome the presence of vortex flow phenomenon at the end of inlet, and the pressure loss is big. Under the condition of 0.7 MPa pressure, the speed of abrasive particles is less than 100 m/s at the exit.

Venturi sand blasting nozzle: the internal structure of venturi sand blasting nozzle includes three parts of contraction section, straight section and expansion section, which make them more difficult to manufacture. The dynamic performance of venturi sand blasting nozzle is better than the straight bore sand blasting nozzle, and its vortex flow phenomenon has been obviously improved, and pressure loss is reduced obviously too. Under the same pressure conditions, the speed of abrasive particles is more than double compared with the straight bore sand blasting nozzle, and the work efficiency increased by 15%-40%, and the consumption of abrasive particles can be reduced by 20%.

Dual Venturi sand blasting nozzle: it is made of two nozzles ,which in front and behind. Due to the high-speed air stream, a negative pressure is produced, which make the surrounding air drawn into the nozzle, causing ejected air greater than the amount of air inhaled. The blasting area of dual venturi sand blasting nozzle is 35% larger than the venturi sand blasting nozzle, but the speed of abrasive particles is a little lower than venturi sand blasting nozzle. This kind of nozzles are often used for surface treatment of large area with moderate intensity.

Angled nozzle: it can change the move direction of the abrasive particles, it can be used to clean the bridges, iron tower and the truss of other steel structure, the back of the flange, and the other part of which is more difficult to clean such as the inner surface of the tube. Usually,there are three types of angled nozzle: one hole, two holes and thress holes, and the angle between the centerline of the hole and the axis of the nozzle usually can be 45 ° , 90 ° or 135 °, which can meet the demand of different construction sites and treating the different shape of the workpiece.
