Introduction
Welding cable is used to power the secondary circuit of electric arc-welding generators, the circuit that controls the electrode that emits the charge used to weld. This cable is made from flexible copper wire surrounded by a protective covering that is resistant to flame, heat, oil and abrasions, among other things. While welding cable is not meant to be part of any other system, it has a history of being used for public lighting arrangements.
A pair of electric cables supplying power from a welding machine to the work being done; one lead connects the machine with the electrode holder, the other lead connects the machine to the work
Standard
245 IEC 81, 245 IEC 82, BS638, IS 473
Feature
1. high flexibility properties
2. Outstanding toughness and durability.
3. High resistance to cuts, tears and abrasion.
4. Resistance to oil, solvents and chemicals.
5. The permissible continuous operating temperature is 65°C
Application
These cables are used for connecting the electrodes to the welding equipment. These cables are used in the automobile industry in shipbuilding, in transport and conveyor system, tool making machinery, welding robots etc. These cables are suitable for welding equipment industry, in automated welding equipment, in tooling constructions, automobile and ship building as well as for hand-held electrodes in workshops and at building sites. These flexible and robust current-carrying cables are suitable for use at high mechanical loads in dry, moist and wet rooms as well for outdoor applications.
