SHANXI XINHUI BRAND ACTIVATED CARBON has the large internal surface of more than 1000m2/g. All the activated carbon qualities are characterised by their ramified pore system giving access to what are called macropores(diam≥25nm),a large number of mesopore s(diam=2~25nm),and micropores (diam≤2nm),the pore volume distribution is an important variable that affects carbon performance.Process:
1.)Carbonization: Material with carbon content is pyrolyzed at temperatures in the range of 300–700℃, in absence of oxygen (usually in inert atmosphere with gases like argon or nitrogen).
2.)Activation/ Oxidation: Raw material or carbonised material is exposed to oxidizing atmospheres (carbon monoxide, oxygen, or steam) at temperatures above 700℃, usually in the temperature range of 700–900℃. The product is also designed to comply with all the applicable provision of AWWA standard for extruded activated carbon.
