The Diamondback Steilacoom CCX is right at home in the muddiest and gnarliest of terrains. It sheds mud, ports easily and crushes any root or rock in its way. The DBR CX fully butted 7005 alloy competition cyclocross frame offers a light and stiff platform which translates to better acceleration and control while off the saddle. A BB30 bottom bracket keeps the power down without producing any frame flex. Diamondback designed the top tube to have a flat bottom for easier portaging over any obstacle.

Diamondback uses their DBRCX carbon cyclocross fork with cantilever mounts and clearance for larger tires. For added stiffness, Diamondback uses an alloy steerer tube.

Diamondback paired this frame with high quality parts including: Shimano Sora cassette, Sora front and rear derailleur, and Sora dual control 9 speed brake levers/ shifters, Tektro CR510 cantilever brakes, and a FSA Gossamer Cross BB30 crank. Kenda Small Block 8 tires wrap the Equation CX wheels with 20 spokes in the front and 24 in the back. The components work perfectly together with the frame in order to produce a race winning CX bike, or a CX inspired commuter bike.
