One way of discharging the dredged material is by pumping it ashore by floating pipelines. This way, the material ends up exactly where it is needed. The bow coupling can be used to attach a floating pipeline to the vessel without the need for an additional vessel. The powerful pumps on board the dredger can then pump the material a distance of several kilometres.

      Bow couplings can be installed both as original equipment and retrofit. A simple adaptation permits the inclusion of an inclined jet for rainbowing for direct controlled discharge to shore.
