Floating lines are an important part of the discharge process. Adapted to the turning gland of a cutter suction dredger or at the bow coupling of a trailing suction hopper dredger they must be of very flexible and robust characteristics in a professional, high-performance and customer-specific environment.

Floating pipelines are a very cost-effective solution. Worn-out pipe pieces can easily be exchanged by pulling the rubber floater over a new pipe piece. The steel pipe however makes this floating line less flexible and reduces the applicability at rough seas. Therefore these pipes must be used in combination with floating hoses. Floating hoses are a more flexible but still very robust solution for discharging slurry to the shore. For extra wear resistance the floating hose is also available as BoneCrusher? type with wear resistant steel rings integrated in the rubber.
