D3 Cold Work Tool Steel is an oil hardening, high carbon/chromium type tool steel.

n Good hardenability

APPLICATIONS: Cutting tools, stamping, woodworking, drawing, deep drawing and pressing tools, cold working rolls, measuring tools.

Heat Treatment:

Forge: at 1050℃-850℃ Cool slowly in furnace or thermoinsulating material 

Annealing: at 800℃-850℃ Cool slowly in furnace

Stress Relieving: approx.650℃ Cool slowly in furnace

Hardening after annealing: max. 248 HB
