Specifications
These mills are used in the important skin-pass process which determines the final product quality for materials such as cold-rolled steel strip, galvanized steel strip, stainless steel strip, and tin plate. The skin-pass process adds small reduction to annealed cold -rolled steel strip or plated steel strip. This corrects the product flatness, adds mechanical properties, and adjusts the surface luster and roughness.
The most common configuration is a single skin-pass mill that rolls in a single direction, with tension reels placed on both sides of the mill. However other types are also used, such as a temper mill with 2 mill stands for higher tempering in tin production mills, for electrical steels, and DCR (Double Cold Reduction) mills which include 2 or 3 mill stands for repeated rolling in the production of thin tin materials known as DR materials. In addition, these mills are also used as in-line skin-pass mills in a continuous annealing line or continuous plating line.
For meet the different production requirement of customers, TEDMEC could offer customers high quality and reliable skin pass mills. A very wide range of strip widths can be treated, and output thickness can be as wafer thin as 0.15 mm. And with mill speeds of up to 300m per minute, high levels of productivity and better cost-effectiveness are promised.
The mill is capable of offering improvement in mechanical properties, close strip elongation tolerances, excellent flatness and better surface finish on cold rolled and annealed strip.
TEDMEC have offline skinpass mill with wet and dry skinpass system in the portfolio. It can supply inline Skinpass mill for continuous annealing line, continuous galvanizing line and color coating line. Skinpassing quality is controlled by rolling force, strip tension or combination of both as per process requirement.
