The new Trap Alarm system is based on the Cell Phone Technology that is in present use throughout the world. The system uses the Cell Phone network to communicate with a unique receiver unit that is fitted neatly and covertly to the external of the animal trap and is set to activate once an animal has been safely captured.

The unit once activated is programmed to immediately send a customized S.M.S message to a maximum of five separate telephone numbers. This ensures that there is no doubt that the involved parties, are aware of the fact that an animal has been captured and is awaiting recovery and possible relocation or assistance.The Trap Alarm system will give a customized programmed location or Post Code of the actual animal trap.

The system has been designed in order that the unit can actually be left in standby mode for months and months and will never run out of a power source and will retain its standby mode for even a year. The benefits for the animals are obvious, but there are also huge financial benefits in the amount of time and money that can be saved by the Animal Control companies and organizations. Knowing exactly when and where to collect an animal trap is nothing but a win win situation for everybody and ensuring the animals endure as little trauma and suffering as possible.

The Trap Alarm is a small and compact fully waterproof module that is fixed to the trap with a special back Plate to ensure it does not move or get tampered with. A unique powerful magnetic key is located in a receiver slot with a trailing wire attached to the open sprung loaded door. When the trap is triggered the Magnetic Key is removed from its locating position and triggers the system to send the preprogramed messages to the designated telephone number. The magnetic key is powerful enough to remain in place even in windy or harsh conditions and is positioned as so it cannot be pulled out easily. The Magnetic Key can simply be relocated back into its receiver slot and the system is automatically reset to be able to be used again.

The system can be adapted to be used with any type of trap by configuring where to locate the Module housing which has four heavy duty fixing points and a back Plate to maximize the flexibility of the fixing options. The system will last indefinitely on standby and will only use any power when activating the alarm messages and a spare battery and charging Module is supplied so you can in the event, just swop the battery over if required.

The system comes in a fully waterproof IP65 enclosure and carries a full 2 years manufacturer's warranty. The Trap Alarm is a Quad Band system which means you can install any Global Pre-Paid SIM Card, which is installed by opening the top cover and slotting into the Holder provided.

The Instructions provided allow the unit to be easily programed via SMS messaging. These messages allow you to program up to five telephone numbers that will receive the Text Alerts in the order they are placed in the list. It is possible to customise the message with up to 40 characters that can identify the type of cage and the location of the trap and even the type of animal the trap has been set to catch.

The system will also send a text alert in the event of a low battery reading and each customer will receive spare battery modules and a home based charger. The system also allows the user to check the signal strength at the location of the trap prior to arming the unit.
