By using lasers it becomes possible to project individual- and multiple lines for use with image processing. While used in refractive single line optics ,It makes diffraction optical element in combination with Powell-lenses possible for projection of multiple lines and matrices. Depending on the application, different optics can be used to generate lines, crosses, or other patterns.
