UNS S31254 is an austenitic chromium-nickel steel alloyed with high molybdenum, used under the chloride environment. This material grade owns the following characteristic:

● Excellent resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion

● Very good resistance to stress corrosion cracking

● High resistance to general corrosion

● Higher mechanical strength

● Good weldability

 

S31254 has the high mechanical strength and good general corrosion resistance. Besides, it also owns the excellent corrosion resistance to the chloride, which can make it used as a very suitable material under seawater working environment.
