While working, the engine will move ar high-speed rotation and transfer to the crank shaft by belt and reduction gearbox., driving the crank shaft to do the low-speed rotation movement, the crank shaft through the connecting rod drive the walking beam to swing up and down by the beam, the beam hanger hanging on the horse-head will drive sucker rod for reciprocating movement up and down.
