Tempered Glass is manufactured through tempering process in tempering furnace.the glass is uniform cooling after heated to the softening point,to improve the strength of the glass, often use the method of chemistry or physics, in glass surface formation pressure stress, glass bears offset above all when outside force surface stress, so as to increase the load bearing ability, strengthens the glass itself of wind sex, continual sex, impact, etc.Thermal shock resistance of tempered glass is also better than float glass.
Advantages
-High strength. it is approximately 3-5 times more resistant than normal glass. As an example a piece of 8mm toughened glass will be able to withstand a steel ball weighing 300-500gr dropped from a height of 2 meters.
- Heatstability. It can withstands abrupt temperature change of 220-250 Centigrade, which is 3-5 times more than normal float glass.
-Safety. If the glass does break, there is far less risk of injury from broken pieces.
