Variable
System
ARMA Variable Air Intakes has a variable valve inside the filter that can
prevent power lose in low rpm, and at the same time increase the power in
higher rpm. User can preset the desired rpm for the valve to open using the
ARMA ECV controller. All readings are controlled via the OBD2 connectors.
Settings will be in memory and once they are input by user, it will not be
erased unless a new setting is being entered.
Non-Variable System
ARMA carbon air intake produces a pleasing induction sound while pushing the
car in the higher rpm region. The dry carbon finishing on the both side of air
box is a result of careful workmanship and the lightweight design ensures that
no seconds are lost due the weight. Other than aesthetic purposes, the carbon
box helps to smooth airflow, and at the same time, it is a heat shield to
ensure that cool air are being fed into the combustion bay.
