The choke valve, a main component of Christmas trees and manifolds, is designed to control production rate of the oil well and can handle working pressure up to 20,000 psi. It can be classified as the adjustable choke valve and positive choke valve. In order to control production rate, the adjustable choke valve uses the stem tip driven by the rotating hand wheel to adjust the effective area available for the flow, while the positive choke valve uses flow beans in different orifice diameters that can be changed.
Features:
1. The coupling nut used for connecting the bonnet and body of the positive choke valve allows tight make-up and easy break-out.
2. The stem tip and bean adaptor are fabricated from special hard alloys for corrosion and abrasion resistance.
3. Indicator lens with scale marks allows the operator to know stem's position and actual orifice area.
4. Turn handwheel counter-clockwise and the valve will open; Turn handwheel clockwise and the valve will close.
