What is Laminated Glass ?

Laminated glass is a kind of safety glass that holds together when shattered. In the event of breaking, it is held in place by an interlayer, typically of polyvinyl butyral (PVB), between its two or more layers of glass. The interlayer keeps the layers of glass bonded even when broken, and its high strength prevents the glass from breaking up into large sharp pieces. This produces a characteristic "spider web" cracking pattern when the impact is not enough to completely pierce the glass.

What can do Laminated Glass ?

Often laminated glass is required to provide protection against man-made threats or natural disasters such as:

…Hurricanes

…Bomb Blasts

…Bullet-Proof

…Forcible-entry.

…UV light

…Fire-proof

…Against Noise

…Floor Panels

Laminated Glass Combination

Laminated glass is available in various forms for commercial glazing applications. To provide a wide array of design options, as well as meet various performance levels,

Clear Laminated Glass (CLG)(VSG)        Tinted Laminated Glass (TLG)

Reflected Laminated Glass (RLG)          Patterned Laminated Glass (PLG)

Ultra Clear Laminated Glass (UCLG)       Tempered Laminated Glass (ESG)

Heat-Proof Laminated Glass (HPLG)        Bullet-Proof Laminated Glass (BPLG)

Decorative Laminated Glass (DLG)         High Strength Laminated Glass (HSLG)

Link Glass offers its PVB interlayer in four standard thicknesses: 0.38 mm (015"), 0.76mm (.030") ,1.14mm (.045" ) and 1.52 mm (.060"). If a stronger, more durable laminated unit is required, Tempered Glass, Heat-Strengthened Glass is recommended.
