Raw material characteristics of TBBS-80:

Use Characteristics

TBBS-80 is delayed action accelerator for NR, IR, BR, SBR, NBR, and EPDM. It is suitable used for high temperature kneading and provides a considerably long scorch time, great processing safety and a fast full cure. TBBS-80 is used as an independent accelerator for the low sulfur vulcanization or together with dithiocarbamate or thiuram accelerators. The vulcanizates obtained have good ageing resistance and good moduli. The curing rate of mixes containing TBBS-80 in combination with thiuram and dithiocarbamate is noticeably reduced. Thiourea has a strong secondary acceleration effect on TBBS-80, mainly in mixes containing little sulfur. In compounds which are accelerated with mercaptanes and thiurams, TBBS-80 may delay scorch.

Processing Advantages The thermoplastic, excellent compatible EPDM/EVA binder which is combined with active dispersing promoters allows much more easy quickly incorporation and excellent dispersion in the rubber mixing. In this way, optimal activity of the effective TBBS is assured.

Dosage:

NR: primary: 0.5-1.0phr with 2.5-3.5phr sulfur; secondary: 0.5phr with 1.5-3.5phr sulfur and 0.3phr mercapto or thiuram accelerator;

SBR: 1.0-1.4phr with 1.5-2.5 sulfur and 0-0.2phr thiuram accelerator.

Applications: Mechanical articles of all kinds, e.g. treads, carcasses, air hoses, conveyor belts, transmission belts, hoses, cable insulations.

Packing: Net weight 25kg/PE bags lined carton; Net 600 kg/pallet. Pallet size: 1.1x1.1x1m

Handling: Consult material safety data sheet (MSDS) for additional handling information.

Compared to traditional TBBS powders, Trustone?TBBS-80 allows:

Dust free products with a complete filtration up to 100μm, no skin sensitization, health guard of operators.

Effective guarantee of activity of TBBS due to pre-dispersed master-batch.

Tack free products at room temperature, convenience and accuracy on ingredients.

Lower Mooney viscosity at lower temperature (50°C), higher quality of dispersion.

Impurity free, blocked filter free of extrusive products, scrap rate reduction and higher productivity thanks to filtration.

Wider compatibility with other elastomers.

Benefits of Trustone? Polymer-bound pre-dispersed rubber chemicals include:

1. Fast and High redispersibility in rubber compound

2. More accurate weighing & faster mixing

3. Greater stability of active chemicals due to encapsulation

4. Safety of operation - reduced leverls of hazards of skin irritants or inhalation

5. Conformity to EU legislation on handling chemicals
