Raw material characteristics of CaO-80:

Use Characteristics

CaO-80 is a desiccant provided in EPDM/EVA rubber pre-dispersed granules, absorbing the moisture in compound and avoiding effects of appearance caused by moisture in compound. Its  combined elastomer contains thermoplasticity which not only melt with polarity general plastic, but also melt with non polarity rubber. The combined elastomer and its surfactants & dispersants guarantee it can be absorbed quickly and perfect dispersed.Calcium oxide absorbs moisture to produce calcium hydroxide to makes rubber products avoid sponginess disfigurement because of the exists of steam when it is extruded and vulcanized under non pressure condition. Therefore, this kind of product could be applied to the constant vulcanizing extrusion processes that need hot air, Laboratory Fluid Bed Dryers ,salt bath. Providing a more uniform cell structure, pre-dispersed CaO-80 can be used to foaming products, especially in microcellular sponge rubber products.

Processing Advantages The thermoplastic, excellent compatible EPDM/EVA binder which is combined with active dispersing promoters allows much more easy quickly incorporation and excellent dispersion in the rubber mixing. In this way, optimal activity of the effective CaO is assured.

Dosage:
The normal dosage is between 2 and 10 phr. It is mainly determined by the expected moisture content which mostly depends on the amount and type of filler used.

Applications: Extrusion products (such as seal belt, rubber pipes) adhesive tape, conveyor belt, rubber covered roller, cable coat, rubber floor.

Packing:
10 X 2.0kgs aluminium foil bag with vacuum pack in carton box

Storage: In original closed containers under cool and dry conditions max.2 years.

Handling: Consult material safety data sheet (MSDS) for additional handling information.

Compared to traditional CaO powders, Trustone?CaO-80GE F200 allows:

Dust free products with a complete filtration up to 45μm, environment improver, health guard of operators.
Lower water absorption and effective guarantee of stability and activity of CaO due to pre-dispersed masterbatch.
Tack free products at room temperature (50°C), convenience and accuracy on ingredients.          Lower Mooney viscosity at lower temperature, higher quality of dispersion, no appearance of white-spot.
Impurity free, blocked filter free of extrusive products, scrap rate reduction and higher productivity thanks to filtration.
Wider compatibility with other elastomers.

Benefits of Trustone? Polymer-bound pre-dispersed rubber chemicals include:

1.Fast and High redispersibility in rubber compound

2. More accurate weighing & faster mixing

3. Greater stability of active chemicals due to encapsulation

4. Safety of operation - reduced leverls of hazards of skin irritants or inhalation

5. Conformity to EU legislation on handling chemicals
