Cathodic protection monitoring system is a set of remote intelligent on-line monitoring system for cathodic protection industry. It could adopt various ways to transmit data, such as GPRS, RF signals, RS485 signals, standard industrial signals 4-20mA, etc. These data transmission ways could easily build data acquisition network which is wired, or wireless or a combination of both. Transmission media mainly include electromagnetic wave, twisted pair (UTP), fiber optics and so on. With CP data expert system software, the monitoring system analyzes CP data collected centrally from long-distance pipeline, tank assembly, and station areas, etc. in real time. Then the CP system will be automatically adjusted according to the analysis results. So that the whole CP system is always in the best work status. It allows digital, information and automatic management for the CP system.

Adopting fiber optic communication technology and database technique, the company has developed the CP monitoring system which is based on fiber optic transmission and RS485 serial communication technology. And new energy-saving technology developed by our own is adopted that it would collect data two times per day and transmits via fiber optic. Non-rechargeable lithium battery with service life 8 years is used. Long-term intelligent management on CP system can be realised.

The monitoring system can be applied in these usages: CP potential data collection on some points, transformer rectifier data collection and reginal CP data collection. Power supply modes can be solar energy, rechargeable battery, non-chargeable lithium battery or field power supply. It enables people choose the optimum plan quickly and accurately according to the on-site actual situation.
