Ammonium sulfate(sometimes abbreviated as AS or AMS) is an inorganic salt, containing 21% nitrogen and 24% sulfur. It is granular or crystalline, in general white or other color, with no smell, tasting salty. 

The primary use of ammonium sulfate is as a fertilizer for alkaline soils, providing the plant with nitrogen and sulphur at the same time, also supporting the availability of secondary nutrients like manganese, iron, and boron in the soil, so due to that enables the plant to have a very high growth and yield. Besides it is also used as an agricultural spray adjuvant for water soluble insecticides, herbicides, and fungicides.
