Specifications
Splice Technology
Autosplice splicing technology provides an advanced method for producing low-cost, high-reliability connections. The system is comprised of a semi-automatic machine and a reel of continuous spliceband material. The Autosplice method provides the lowest applied cost available on the market. The machine's ability to feed, cut, form and splice eliminates the need for expensive pre-formed crimps. Autosplice splicing systems are available with a range of toolset types and spliceband sizes to meet a variety of production requirements.

Additional Information
Meets requirements for the highest quality:
Gas tight connection
No cold solder joint
No head impact to the components
No stiffening to the wire
Extremely low electrical resistance
Resistant against vibrations and shocks
Resistant against corrosion
Small space requirement
Using magnet-piercing spliceband, the splice system will produce a connection of an unstripped magnet wire directly to wire or component. This eliminates the need for prestripping.
Meets general standards, for example:
UL 486 C
IEC 60352-2
MIL - STD 202I
IPC / WHMA-A-62
Standard Serrations: For normal applications
"M" Serrations: For insulation piercing on magnet wire applications
Direct Board Interconnect Technology
Autosplice's Direct Board Interconnect Technology (D-BIT) is an innovative process of connecting lead wires or flexible circuits directly to a PCB. The process eliminates the need for costly connectors and produces a high quality connection. Direct connection of wire, component lead, or flex circuit is quickly and easily achieved with an Autosplice splicing system and requires no subsequent soldering steps to complete the connection. Production output using D-BIT connections is significantly higher than with other types of hand-soldering, resistance, or ultrasonic welding processes.
Spliceband Information and Range
Spliceband is a continuous reel of splicing material that is cut and formed in the applicator machine to produce a finished connection. The spliceband underside is specially serrated to ensure the electrical and mechanical performance of the splice connection. One reel of spliceband contains up to 190, 000 splices.
