Carved lacquerware is one Chinese traditional handicraft with a history over 2000 years which is as famous as Cloisonn. The main lacquer for carved lacquerware is made of natural lacquer which is cut from wild lacquer tree. Dry natural lacquer is featured with heat resistance, acid resistance, alkali resistance, moisture resistance, wear resistance, gentle luster and lingering charm.

The first process is to make wooden-body according to drawing, after being polished and inspected, dozens of lacquer coatings is put on wooden-body, even hundreds of coatings, and then paint landscape, characters, flowers and plants, birds and beasts and inlay all kinds of decorative material, such as stone, pearl shell, copper wire.
