Description

JS-317 is a one-component polyurethane sealant with permanent elasticity. It is widely used in general joint of all kinds of the vehicle such as car seal, luggage compartment cover, automotive glass etc., cantilever, subway, construction, decoration and other joint sealings.

Application

?        Surface preparation: Clean all dirty, dust, loose particles by steel brush and clean all oily things with cleaning agent. All former adhesive must be cleaned out by scraping, paring, friction, jet of strong air or suitable ways. 

?        Priming: Commonly no need for primer. Primer could be recommended in order for best performance. If using primer, smooth priming base and no permitting primer clump and uniformly disperse to prevent any coating cumulus.

?        Mixture: JS-317 don't need mixing and use directly.

?        Spreading: Spread JS-317 on base material with enough pressure and thickness not less than 1 millimeter.

Note:

?        Full cure (dry 7 days under 20℃) for JS-317 should be finished before applied place permits water entering into. The adhesive surface could be painted but no recommendation for solvent based paints such as colorful enamel. If should be used, please do in site testing to prove compatibility.

?        No permission for wet spreading tech. NO recommendation solvent, water, cleaner or soap solution.

?        No permission for high chloride content disinfected area like swimming pool before consulting  technician.

Paintable Property

?        JS-317 could be painted after dry with traditional method like epoxy or acrylic paints. The adhesive surface will take place reaction and soften if using high solvent content coating like luster enamel or high oily base coatings.

?        Coating should have similar tensile strength compared with adhesive in order to get best appearance and property. Painting could be processed after 24 hours if thickness of adhesive is less than 3 mm while painted after 48 hours if thickness more than 3mm.

?        Anti Fire

?        JS-317 is not easy inflammable.

Handling Precautions

?        Not contact sealant with food or cosmetics;

?        Not contact skin for long time about uncured sealant;

?        Rinse eyes with large quantities of water and seek medical check if sealant drops into eyes.

?        Not put sealant out of children

Pretest Process

?        Reliance will sample all related material and do testing to decide best adhesive type and best performance to preventing any potential problems. Please ask for Reliance's technician fro specifics.
