The equipment was invented by Mr. Fu Bingzhong, Chief Engineer of Dezhou Yaxing Pipe Equipment Factory. It is patent product with independent intellectual property rights and is a special machine to expand thermally the diameter of steel pipe. It was designed mainly as the large-diameter steel pipe production output could not meet the market demand and incomplete specifications of the steel pipes in China. It meets the needs of steel pipe production with small quantities and many sizes, and can expand the diameter of the steel pipes made of different materials and nonstandard steel pipes. The process is now the main production process of large diameter steel pipe in China and is used widely now in the military industry, power plant construction, aerospace industry, marine industry and equipment manufacturing industry, and made a great contribution for the steel tubular industry and energy construction in China.
The equipment is used in the diameter expanding production of seamless steel pipe, straight welded pipe, and hot rolled steel pipe and so on. The material of the steel pipes to be processed are as follows: all kinds of plain carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel and so on.
This patent product combines taper die diameter expansion technology, medium frequency induction heating technology, hydraulic technology together, featured with reasonable processing technology, simple equipment structures, lower energy consumption, very low capital investment, good product quality, wide range of raw materials and more product specifications, flexible and variable, small production batch. The process replaces the traditional pulling and drawing diameter expanding technology in the steel industry, becomes an indispensable production capacity to solve the shortage and incomplete size problem of large diameter seamless steel pipes at home and abroad. With the energy utilization and development from solid (coal), liquid (oil) to gas (natural gas), the energy pipeline transportation increases steel pipe demand. The hot expanding pipe production has formed a complete steel pipe deep processing industry.
