What is Tribulus Terrestris Extract?

Tribulus terrestris fruit, a kind of creepers with branches and mild hairs produced in yields, roadsides and weeds besides rivers all over China. In the saponins mix, predominate the furostanol saponins protodioscine and protogracilin. Flavonol glycosides like astragalin, tribuloside, rutin, tannic compounds and oils are also contained.

The Tribulus terrestris plant shows sexual enhancing, diuretic, laxative and anti-micotic properties. For producing of dry plant extract from Tribulus terrestris is used the whole aerial part of the plant (herba), harvested in the flowering period.
