The principle of  BG test:

(1-3)-β-D-Glucan activates Factor G and the serine protease zymogen, which in turn cleaves pNA from the chromogenic peptide substrate. BG test quantitatively detects the concentration of fungus (1,3)-β-D-glucan base of the change of pNA.

The advantages of BG-test
