Wire netting with hexagonal opening offers good ventilation and fencing uses. Hexagonal wire netting is made of twisting carbon steel wire, electro or hot dipped galvanized, then plastic coated, or plain.
It can be fabricated into gabions boxes – one of the most popular wire products for flood control. Then stones are put into it. Laying of gabions make a wall or bank against water and flood. Hexagonal wire netting is also welded into poultry netting for breeding of chicken and other poultry. Popularly used as fences after green coated, and costs can be reduced. In the past years, the hexagonal wire netting made of galvanized iron wire has been used in fences, breeding and construction reinforcement.

Deer Control Fence - Black Vinyl Coated 1" hex mesh

This strong, long-lasting mesh works well as a deer barrier fence. When deer encounter a black fence, they know there is a barrier but cannot see it distinctly. When deer cannot clearly see the top of a fence to judge the distance, they are much less likely to jump. Extra tall84"and90"heights eliminate the labor and time of piecing together narrower rolls. The 90" dimension is nominal. Due to the tension and heat of the coating process, actual height may be between 88" and 90". The inherent resiliency of this mesh allows the fence to give upon impact.

This extra heavy hexagonal netting, known as Paddle Tennis wire or Platform Tennis wire, is manufactured to meet the rugged specification requirements of paddle tennis courts. The rolls weigh 328 pounds. Two 180' rolls will do a single court. In addition to netting for paddle tennis courts, it also makes an ideal overhead electrical grid in bumper car rides.

Heavily galvanized after weave (GAW), this continuous twist mesh will last for years. After weaving the 16 gauge 1" mesh hexagonal netting fence is dipped in a rust inhibiting bath of molten zinc. Also known asSparrow Netting, this light weight small mesh is ideal for aviaries for small birds. Galvanized After Weave (GAW) hexagonal poultry netting fence will last a long time. 22 gauge wire is woven into a 1/2" mesh hexagonal poultry netting fence, then dipped in a bath of molten zinc to prevent rust. Ideal for gardens, aviaries or bird pens, any application requiring a small, light weight, durable and rust resistant mesh. This the netting mesh used in building the Canary Cage as seen on Martha Stewart TV.

Aviary wire can also be used in many other projects. It is often used as an alternative to glass in upscale china cabinets doors and other fancy furniture projects. Pliability and light weight make this 1/2" hexagonal mesh an ideal reinforcement fabric for certain types of concrete work. It has been used successfully in the manufacturing of ferro-cement boats.
