Main components of the aerator include: electric motor, axial installation gearbox, main axle, brush plates, driving end and terminating end bearing support lubrication system and control cabinet, etc.  Its main characteristics are:
1. The vertical, outdoor type electric motor is located nearly 1m above the water surface; therefore the possibility of damage caused by splashed water is greatly reduced and the whole setup has a small footprint.
2. The gearbox uses cone - column gears. All gears have hard surfaces with gear precision Grade 6. The gearbox has the advantages of large bearing capacity, high torque transmission efficiency, small volume, light weight, steady run, low noise and power efficient.
3. Bearing support is equipped on the driving end of the main axle so a shaft coupling is not needed.  This way the main axle and brushes can remain in position when replacing worn parts of the gearbox. Installation of gearbox is therefore simple, with no need of calibration and the precision of the whole setup can be ensured.
4. Brush plates are made of high-quality galvanized carbon steel or stainless steel. Brushes are assembled into a folded hoop and arranged in a spiral form. Thus the brushes can enter the water evenly, and bear the load steadily. The brushes are convenient to assemble and disassemble.
5. Center-regulating bearing and floating bearing supports are used to align the center automatically and overcome installation errors.  They can also compensate for the axial extension caused by changes in temperature.
6. The load of the aerator and the oxygenation rate can be changed by adjusting the immersion depth of the rotating brushes.
