Specifications
Zirconia is a very hard and durable material, with low thermal conductivity, high strength and flexibility. Because of certain additives, the material has a high resistance to corrosion and a melting point higher than Alumina. Zirconia (ZrO2) products can withstand the high temperature up to 2100°C. It is an ideal material for the melting of precious metals and super-alloys which have melting point higher than 1800°C.
Furthermore, additions of some oxides (MgO, CaO,Y2O3) to pure zirconiadepress allotropic transformations (crystal structure changes) and allow to stabilize either cubic or tetragonal structure of the material at any temperature.
