A 572 Gr. 50 steel is a high strength low-alloy columbium-vanadium structural steel. Other materials in the alloy include titanium & nitrogen. This specification provides for a 50ksi MPA [345}] minimum yield strength and 65ksi minimum tensile strength. Theses grades are intended for riveted, bolted, or welded structures primarily in applications where extra strength or reduced end product weight is desired without foregoing strength.
