    Sorbic Acid is a white to yellowish white crystalline powder; have a special smell. It is freely soluble in ethanol, soluble in ether, soluble in water.

    Sorbic acid is high efficient and safe preservative recommended international FAO and who, is widely used in food, beverages, tobacco, pesticides, cosmetics and other industries, as unsaturated acid, can also be used for resin, aromatics and rubber industry.

Applications:

Sorbic acid could effectively inhibit molds, yeasts and aerobic bacteria activity, but also can prevent the production and reproduction of botulinum toxin, Staphylococcus aureus, Salmonella and other harmful microorganisms, but the anaerobic bacteria and Lactobacillus acidophilus and other beneficial microorganisms is almost null and void, which restrain the development of stronger effects than bactericidal effect, never to effectively extend the food preservation time, and maintain the original flavor of food.

In yeast, fungi and many fungal inhibition has. It is efficient and nontoxic anticorrosion mildew inhibitor. Used for human food, animal feed, cosmetics, pharmaceutical, packaging materials and rubber additives.
